Function / Content

This series consists of copies of findings of mineral sample analyses performed by TW Ward, the Government Assayer. These assays relate to various mine and mining interests in the region including Anningie, Arltunga, Barrow Creek, Tennant Creek and Ti Tree. The mineral sample analyses include tests the purity of minerals and their composition; included on file is a test performed for the Resident Engineer of Alice Springs of water quality of Barrow Bore. Some correspondence, in the form of telegrams, are included on file. The first 8 pages are very fragile.
